For sale or swap. 1990 Alfa Spider 2.0l
An honest car with 157k Kms. Originally lhd and converted to rhd. I've owned it for two years and fitted new hood and had the underbody rust rectified. The high cost of Vrt here (sourthern Ireland) is stopping me registering it so I would like to sell. To pass nct test here it needs a front shock so I suppose the same applies to MOT. It starts on the button and runs well. Noisy in low gears. Interior needs tidying. Oil pressure good. Good wheels and almost new Pirellis. I have receipts for servicing and many old mots. Immobiliser fitted.

1969 Fiat 850 Sport
. Positano Giallo with Full 12months MOT, Historic Road Tax (free). 44,000 Genuine miles (service record and past MOTs to support this)
I got the car in June 2005, bought from an elderly ladies son after her bereavement. She'd owned the car since 1985 and covered just 7,000miles in the 20 years.
The car was stored in a heated garage and not used for the last 7 years of her ownership. I re-commissioned the car with a full service, renewal of all the ignition components, got the car MOT'd and have run the car regularly ever since.
The car won the Best Italian Car of show at Tatton Park Classics show in June 2006 and I brought her over to Kilbroney Classics Show last year.
The car is a Series2 model with the 903cc 4 cyl OHV engine developing 53BHP and drives very well. Engine pulls well, Gearbox is good, all synchromesh's work, no trim rattles or suspension knocks etc and she pulls up in a straight line.
The car is standard except for:-
- 5 "½ J x 13 Fiat Cromodora Light Magnesium Alloy Wheels (a dealer option when new)
- Original Fiat rear mud flaps
- Mota Lita Leather and Chrome Sports Steering Wheel
- Chrome Circular Door Mirrors
- I also adapted the screen washers with an electric pump , with a circular dash mounted push-button switch to operate the pump that is a replica of the original rubber teat (black with a chrome outer ring)
- The doors and front wings have been repainted at some point in the cars life, but the car has never been welded underneath.
- The door bottoms are totally intact and solid
- The Chrome work, Bumpers and Light units are very good
- The Interior is Superb and original. The seats, carpets, door cards, dash, glass etc are unmarked and virtually as new. Quite amazing for a car that's nearly 40 years old
- All the ancillaries(wipers, fan, lights etc) are working fine
- The front panel around the indicator unit on the passenger side is a little scabby
- The paint work on the rear engine cover is slightly scabby, no corrosion just a little spidery in places. I have been told this is to do with this panel warming and cooling when it's got wet with rain water.
The car has a comprehensive History File which includes:-
- The Original Bill of sale when new from a Fiat dealership in Worcestershire
- Service invoices/repair bills etc
- Letters between previous owners
- Lots of old MOT certificates.
All this helps to prove the level of maintenance the car has received over the years and helps prove the mileage to be totally genuine.
This is not the cheapest 850 Sport you'll see, but if youre serious about owning a car that must be amongst one of the most original, lowest mileage examples you have chance to buy, then this might be the right car for you. The asking price is O.I.R. £4,300.

1984 Fiat Strada cabrio
This car is owned by a good friend of mine. He has decided to sell to create a bit of room for something else. The car has only 36,000 miles on it from new. Now it's currently no Mot'd but I have seen the car and can assure everyone that it has to be the cleanest Strada that I have ever seen. It's in fantastic condition.
